PROJECT DETAILS

Designed by French Architect Jean Nouvel, Qatar National Museum offers about 40000 sqm of its usable area as Permanent exhibition spaces, temporary exhibition spaces, auditorium (220-seats), forum (70-seats), two cafés, restaurant, boutique, heritage research laboratory, restoration and stockage of relics research laboratory. The building, made primarily from steel and concrete which is locally sourced and fabricated, is constructed from dozens of interlocking disk-like forms varying in curvature and diameter, suggestive of the blade-like petals of the desert rose.
