The Qatar Logistics and Distribution Centre (QLDC) is one of the well-known and established trading and service companies in Qatar and represents a subsidiary of Mannai Trading Company. The organization provides a wide range of material storage and handling facility for its clients need. The proposed facility is envisaged to extend material storage logistics for all third party requirements through agreements for receipt, storage and transfer to client facility on need basis. In the process of developing the facility which typically represents a warehouse, the management intends to have in place a storage facility for various listed materials including chemicals.

The proposed facility would include building structures for material storage along with HVAC installations, operational office, security rooms at the entry and exist points. 

The hazardous chemicals Storage facility is used by many of the global petrochemical and oil and gas companies. There is a need observed for specialized logistics and warehousing services including the storage of hazardous and non-hazardous materials at Salwa Industrial area.           The presence of such centralized facility in industrial area caters to ease in industrial operations on one side, while planning, storage, handling processes and procedure along with monitoring such facility is held with an expertise management intending the warehousing facilities.

The management of Mannai Trading Company has retained the services of Qatar Design Consortium (QDC), to undertake the EIA study starting with the Initial Environmental Permit application and subsequently to carry out the baseline environmental study and prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study report. The study includes recommendations at the required environmental procedures, monitoring and reporting requirements for the construction and operation phases, to support the management to take these forward during the implementation and monitoring for compliance.
